52 Plus Joker Logo Use Policy

PURPOSE

The 52 Plus Joker name and logo represent the club, its members, and its reputation. This policy is intended to ensure the logo is used in ways that are respectful, accurate, and consistent with 52 Plus Joker’s mission.

Ownership

The 52 Plus Joker name and logo are the exclusive property of 52 Plus Joker. Use of the club logo does not grant ownership or ongoing rights.

General Rule

Commercial use of the 52 Plus Joker logo is not permitted without prior written approval from the organization. Membership in 52 Plus Joker does not grant permission to use the logo for commercial purposes.

Permitted Non-Commercial Use

The logo may be used without permission for non-commercial purposes such as:

• Personal social media posts supporting or promoting the club.
• Editorial coverage, news, or educational discussion.
• Promotion of official 52 Plus Joker events when clearly informational.

These uses must not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or official merchandise.

Prohibited Uses Without Approval

The following are not allowed without written permission:

• Printing the logo on merchandise for sale.
• Fundraising using logo-branded items.
• Use on products, packaging, or advertising.
• Modifying or altering the logo.
• Use that suggests an official partnership or endorsement.

Prohibition includes use on websites, online stores, social media marketplaces, crowdfunding pages, digital downloads, and other online or digital platforms.

Approved Merchandise and Licensing

In some cases, 52 Plus Joker may approve the use of its logo on merchandise.

Approval Requires:

• A written agreement.
• Design review and quality standards.
• Clear disclosure of whether the item is official or third-party.
• A required royalty to the club, calculated on gross sales:
  • 25 percent (25%) for sales at conventions or official in-person events.
  • 15 percent (15%) for all other sales, including online and third-party platforms.

Only official logo files provided by 52 Plus Joker may be used. Recreated, redrawn, altered, or approximate versions of the logo are not permitted.

Approval is limited to the specific product, quantity, format, and timeframe approved. Any additional use, reprints, or new products require separate approval.

NOTE: Approval may be revoked at any time.

Quality and Representation

The logo may not be used in a way that:

• Damages the reputation of the club.
• Associates the club with offensive, misleading, or unrelated content.
• Misrepresents the club’s activities or values.

Review Process

Review and approval authority rests with the club’s officers. This process could take up to 30 days. Review considerations may include:

• Alignment with the club’s mission and reputation.
• Product quality and presentation.
• Clarity around whether the item is official or third-party.
• Impact on existing or planned club merchandise.

Decision & Conditions

Approved requests may be granted with conditions, which can include:

• Required design changes.
• Use of specific logo files.
• Clear disclosure language.
• A contribution, royalty, or other benefit to the club.
• A defined approval period.

Permissions are non-transferable and may not be sublicensed to third parties.

Denying a request does not require an explanation and does not reflect on the requester personally.

Written Permission Agreement

Approval is valid only after a written permission agreement is granted. Verbal approval or informal discussions do not constitute authorization.

Ongoing Oversight

The organization reserves the right to:

• Request samples or final proofs.
• Revoke approval if terms are not followed.
• Require removal of the logo if the use no longer aligns with club standards.

Upon revocation or expiration of approval, all use of the logo must cease immediately. Remaining inventory may not be sold unless expressly authorized in writing.

Unauthorized use of the 52 Plus Joker logo may result in further action to protect the organization’s rights.
